วันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน 2567 เวลา 14.00 น. ณ หอประชุมสถาบันเกอเธ่ ซอยสาทร 1 กรุงเทพฯ สถาบันส่งเสริมการสอนวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี (สสวท.) กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ สถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย องค์การพิพิธภัณฑ์วิทยาศาสตร์แห่งชาติ (อพวช.) และหน่วยงานหลักร่วมจัด ได้จัดพิธีเปิดงานเทศกาลภาพยนตร์วิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อการเรียนรู้ ครั้งที่ 20 ภายใต้แนวคิด“การปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์และเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน (Net Zero and the Circular Economy) โดยมี ดร.สิริพงศ์ อังคสกุลเกียรติ ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด พร้อมด้วย Ms. Likki-Lee Pitzen เลขานุการเอกฝ่ายวัฒนธรรมและสื่อ สถานทูตสหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐเยอรมนี ประจำประเทศไทย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธีระเดช เจียรสุขสกุล ผู้อำนวยการ สสวท. พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ร่วมในพิธีโดยพร้อมเพรียง
เทศกาลภาพยนตร์วิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อการเรียนรู้ ครั้งที่ 20 จัดฉายระหว่างวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน – 20 ธันวา คม 2567 ณ ศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อการศึกษา ท้องฟ้าจำลองกรุงเทพ และศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อการศึกษาในส่วนภูมิภาค 18 แห่งทั่วประเทศ รวมทั้งศูนย์ฉายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือ ประกอบด้วยองค์การพิพิธภัณฑ์วิทยาศาสตร์แห่งชาติ (อพวช.) สำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช.) หอภาพยนตร์ (องค์การมหาชน) และ อุทยานการเรียนรู้เมืองนครศรีธรรมราช
ในปีนี้มีภาพยนตร์วิทยาศาสตร์ชั้นดีจากทั่วโลกเข้าฉายให้ชมฟรี จำนวน 31 เรื่อง ประกอบด้วย 4 หมวด คือ ภาพยนตร์การศึกษาในครอบครัว ภาพยนตร์ไร้เสียงและเกร็ดวิทยาศาสตร์ ภาพยนตร์วิทยาศาสตร์ธรรมชาติ วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีชีวิต และ ภาพยนตร์นิเวศวิทยาและสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักในการเรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ให้เยาวชนไทย พัฒนาเจตคติที่ดีต่อการเรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ มีกระบวนการคิดเชิงวิทยาศาสตร์ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่จะผลักดันวัฒนธรรมวิทยาศาสตร์ให้เกิดมากขึ้นในสังคมไทย

The 20th Science Film Festival officially begins! IPST, Goethe-Institut and partner agencies present free screening of international science films under the theme “Net Zero and the Circular Economy”
On 1 November 2024 at 14.00 hrs. at Goethe Auditorium, Goethe-Institut Thailand, Sathorn 1, Bangkok, The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), Ministry of Education, the Goethe-Institut Thailand, the National Science Museum (NSM), partner organizations organized the Opening Ceremony of the 20th Science Film Festival under the theme “Net Zero and the Circular Economy” Dr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Vice Minister for Education, presided over the ceremony. Ms. Likki-Lee Pitzen, First Secretary of Cultural Affairs and Press, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Thailand, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thiradet Jiarasuksakun, President of IPST, and executives of partner organizations were in attendance.
The festival runs from 1 November – 20 December 2024 at the Science Centre for Education or the Bangkok Planetarium, 18 regional science centers, and various screening places of related partner organizations, namely, National Science Museum (NSM), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Film Archive (Public Organization), and City Learning Park, Nakhon Si Thammarat.
This year, the festival screens 31 quality science films from around the world for free. The collection of films can be divided into 4 categories: Family Edutainment, Non-Verbal and Science Shorts, Natural Science, Life Science and Technology, and Ecology and Environment. The festival aims to raise awareness of science learning for Thai youth, develop positive attitudes towards science learning, and boost scientific thinking, making it part of creating a scientific culture in Thai society.
